Aftermarket Clutch and Flywheel

Hey,

I have a 2000 Camry V6 that I will be putting a TRD sc on shortly. The stock clutch in the car is about to go after 130k miles (70k of my abuse). I plan on running 4lbs of boost for now and 6lbs later. I was talking to ASG14 about it and he said I should post it up here.

I think I am looking for a stage 1 clutch to handle the boost but, I have no idea what I should go with. I don't mind extra pedal pressure as I find the stock pressure weak but, I won't be able to tolerate chatter or a really harsh engagement as this is my daily driver.

The other thing I wanted to look at was a lighter flywheel. Right now with my TWM shifter I am basically popping my clutch every time I upshift because the revs don't fall fast enough. That is one of my reasons for wanting one. The other one is of course more performance. What are the downsides to lighter flywheels and if I decide to get one... which one should I get?

Guys, this is a friend of mine who knows a lot of cars. So none of that "search" crap please. I don't know enough on Manual tranny's to help with it.

go with at least a stage 2 or 3, if your going to upgrade to 6psi, act, spech, clutch masters, im using a mongoloid setup, act street master pressure plate, f1 stage 3, 6 puck clutch disk, fadanza flywheel, & oem throw out bearing, and i drive the >>I'm a douche<< out of my car, just make sure you use oem throw out bearing...................

I used an ACT street clutch at 6 psi and it had PLENTY of holding power... there is no sense punishing yourself every day for no reason, IMO. It grabbed hard and engaged smoothly every time, and wasn't tough to deal with in traffic. I think it was good to 350 wtq as well, which is well over what any supercharged solara is going to put down.

I was also running a Fidanza flywheel with the ACT throwout bearing. I strongly recommend this setup... great for the street and holds plenty of power without feeling too flimsy like the stock clutch.

Thanks for the help so far. I have decided on getting the fidanza flywheel but, I am not sure which clutch to get yet... I have narrowed it down to the HDMM ACT or the stage 3 clutchmasters.
