There is no additional wood trim on the SLE. Any additional wood trim is aftermarket.
For 99, I believe the climate control is the only feature on the SLE that isn't available on the SE. And manual is the only feature available on the SE that isnt available on the SLE. Also, none of these had heated seats. I dont think that feature came in the Solara until 2002.
There are a few other differences, but i think the rest are optional on the
For the 99:
The SE came with 15" steel wheels standard, but most came with 15" alloys or 16" alloys as an option.
SLE came with 16" alloy wheels too.
SE came with the I4 and optional V6. SLE came with V6.
SE came with manual and upgradable to auto. SLE is auto standard.
SE came with Cloth and upgradable to Leather. I think the SLE came with leather standard, including wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
SE came with no spoiler. SLE had spoiler standard.
And as mentioned, SLEs get auto climate control standard, SEs get manual HVAC with no option for auto.
SE had standard radio with CD and cassette with optional JBL single disc. I think the 99 SLE had the single disc JBL standard.
in 2000, the standard radio changed (The new radio has a smaller text readout, but functionally similiar.) Also they had a new 6-disc JBL optional for SLEs. A few colors got swapped out - the black is different from 99 to 2000 (its a plain metallic black in 99, its a pearl in 2000) and the gold is different (Sandrift to Gold Dust).
And of course, half way through the year, they had a new drop top.
