TB Spacer installed and tested on Red Knight

TB Spacer installed and tested on Red Knight

Installed the spacer since i got it for free so i figured what the hell i'll give it a try. Suprisingly i am seeing a significant increase in aiflow on the safc. With the Supra TT MAF i used to peak at about 51% airflow at WOT (the stock maf was maxed out and read 100% airflow), With the spacer installed i am now peaking at 71% airflow at WOT. I havent been back to the dyno, but 20% increase in airflow should be a good amount of HP. I like the whistling sound as well, i start to get into it and hear the whistling, then as i get full throttle the whistling sound is taken over by the s/c whine. it sure makes peoples heads turn when i go WOT.

My last trip to the dyno before the spacer was 279whp with the auto trans no nitrous. A significant increase over what i started with when i bought the car (250whp). I've done some port work on the lower intake and s/c. increased the size of the intake tube to 3.5",NGK iridiums, and some safc adjustments. The port work made a huuuugggeee difference.

later guys

I'll post some nitrous dynos and 1/4 mile times once i get the built trans back in there. I am currently running a stock auto so no nitrous for now

Damn, I didn't realize the airflow improved that much. That along with the y pipe idea you were talking about seem to be commonly overlooked areas where some decent power can be gained on our cars. Keep it up Gabe.

Yo Gabe, where you been bro?

WOuldnt increased airflow means more air which results on the car running lean with the SAFC unless retune?

Dat i added fuel up top with the safc to compensate.
If i can ever stop getting my ass in trouble with probation i'll be going to the race track to see what the car can do at this point.
