This just popped up on ebay.. never heard of it before.. thoughts?

Or I was thinking of making my own SRI, and slapping a K&N typhoon filter on the end of it... been researching DYI intakes, Im definitely capable. What are your thoughts on doing it though? Would it really be cost-effective?

Get an OBX sri. Same as injen. I think you can get it on ebay for about $50 shipped iirc.

edit: You don't need an air bypass if you're not going to do a cai. The bypass is just for preventing hydrolock. You're not gonna have that problem with an sri.

the famous ebay intake, dont do it man. If you buy all this stuff your going to end up spending 80+ when for 150 or a little more you can get yourself an injen.

I liked my Injen intake a lot... the quality was top notch.

Don't bother with cheap/ off-brand parts. Either wait/ save up to get quality parts, or don't modify your car. I know it's harsh, but if you're a student and you can't reasonably afford to modify your car the right way, save your money for tuition. That's my two cents. :)

If you have a 4cly get the black one, if you have a v6 learn to read they wont work. For the v6 get OBX if you want to buy on the cheap.

$35 OBX intake same as injen for the most part. 2.75 inch pipe and perfect fr the maf. The 3 inch Ebay intakes suck

I have the Injen SRI and I'm happy with it. If you're in CA, make sure you get the Injen since it's CARB legal.

Thank you for this link! A few people kept suggesting the OBX intake, but I search and search and searched some more and couldnt find it... Never thought to think it would be listed under "camry" because its the exact same engine correct? (and I know its the same chassis) sorry I am new to the world of Solaras..

Ok, so now that see this OBX SRI, I am definitely going with this option. Would you recomend upgrading the filter on it to a K&N filter? Would it be worth it?

^^ Yeah, thanks for the link. Couldn't find it anywhere. It's half the price it used to be too. Wanted to get one before I get tuned - glad I saw this post!
