EBAY intake = garbage!

EBAY intake = garbage!

I bought an intake on ebay for 30 $ and got an ebay intake for 30$...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-01-00 ... 2a04a9bb66

1) fittment : i had to fight with the filter to fit on the pipe

2) fittment : I had to fight with the hoses to get them to fit anywhere

3) only 2 hoses and 2 holes... you can see it on the picture...my v6 solara has 3 hoses going to the intake so I have one of the hoses just hanging around... anyone know what that hose does ( not the big one, not the one in back, the thinner one that comes out from under the engine cover.

4) had to tape the maf cuz garbage can't take the screws...

but....

1) decent sound

2) high rpm gains(< 5k rmp) with loss of low end... (wanted effect) so...

for everything else... there's mastercard

For a cheap alternative to the injen intake the OBX intake works well.

Honestly, what did you expect for $30? You've got to pay to play, sounds like you ordered a bunch of additional low end, junky parts. What springs did you get, Intrax?

Better to save some money, buy the best the first time around. In the end with junk, you'll wind up buying everything 2x.

the hose coming from your engine cover would probably be your pcv valve

I agree.

You have to pay to play.
Also, you get what you pay.
You cheap out on parts and you'll get crappy parts in return.
