OBX catback?

OBX catback?

Postby K1llertwo » Mon Jan 25, 2010 8:52 pm

hey everyone, my original exhaust line is hanging and about to fall off (rust) so its time to get a cat-back. I saw this OBX catback

http://cgi.ebay.ca/OBX-SS304-EXHAUST-CA ... 5ad332dd57

and cant find any info on it except that it's a 3.0 inch piping... that wouldn't fit on my new(er) but stock headers anyways... I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on it...

Is megan racing the way to go or would custom be cheaper for a 2.5 inch or compatible with stock... I'll go see a garage to get an estimation on custom... if anyone has a setup or suggestions...

so basicaly...

1) wtf is that obx
2) megan racing or others?
3) custom?

wait? are you boosted? the only way you will get some decent power out a 3in exhaust is if your boosted.
Your gonna loose a lot of low end torque and gain in top end.
Your going to like it though i have it on mine and it sounds really good.

as long as he's got stock headers it should be fine, that will be enough back pressure, as not to low end torqe................. :drinking:

im not boosted, neither do I have any intentions on boosting anytime soon...$$$

but u guys got me hesitant now... less low end torque... but more power at high rps's... wich in my opinion is fine: when i want to gun it, i gun it and when im driving a civil way next to schools and kids i don't want to hit them...
anyways, my true concern is:

how will the 0-100 kmh be affected? pretty much the same or will I see a big difference and feel like in a different car: right now I'm running

NO MUFFLER AT ALL...

anyways i cant wait to get it...

I don't understand why it says on the eBay page that the set up won't fit a camry? Are the mounts in a different place or something? I thought since the frame is the same it should be fine.
