They seem to be a decent mod for 70 bucks they are also great for tapping for NOS or a meth kit. Best bang for the buck save for the CPE intake or supercharge it.

My buddy has a supercharged Cadillac. The thing is SWEET! It's the CTS I think? Not sure, but it's all black, with black wheels and limo tint. The thing just looks evil. I really doubt my s/c'd Camry could even stay close enough to sniff a fart from that car.

You could always buy a Jet Throttle Body spacer and either tap it for meth injection or NOS

MILFORD, MICHIGAN -- Official Society of Automotive Engineers numbers for the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V are 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque. Its 6.2L supercharged OHV V-8 propelled it around a lap of the Nordshleife in seven min, 59.32 sec recently, and Cadillac says it will launch it from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 sec. Quarter-mile? About 12 sec at 118 mph. Cadillac says some runs have beat 12 sec; others are slightly over.

Cadillac says times are too close to delineate between the six-speed automatic with sport-shift programming and paddle-shifters and the full six-speed manual. There's much more to tell, but I'm posting this quickly...more on the car to come.

Manufacturers' numbers typically are a tad conservative. Our testers will have their hands full trying to beat a 12-sec quarter-mile, though. How do the CTS-V's chief rivals measure up? These are numbers from Art St. Antoine's February 2007 comparison, "The Terminators":

So.. WHAT does it do and can you VERIFY any performance increase with this?

Ron,

Nice car you have there! As I have already stated, I can't verify any increase in performance since I have not dynoed it. The theory behind them is that you are lengthening the intake, which is supposed to increase the velocity, hence adding more air. I'm sure there are some cars/trucks out there that have dyno results showing improvement. As for the Camry? I don't know. I have one installed on my truck and noticed a very slight increase in mileage, so that is something.

At the very least, if or when I decide to add meth injection or NOS, I have a nice plate to drill and tap a hole into instead of doing it to my s/c. I would much rather screw up a spacer than the s/c.

I still would like to see some dyno results with a bored out throttle body. Someone on the TN board said that would have been a better investment, but he never replied to my post asking if he had one and had a dyno chart showing the results.

Yep! Me too! That is the exact reason I went with the Jet spacer instead of the Helix brand. Plus I hear blue is a lot faster than silver.
