Jet Performance Throttle Body Spacer for Camry/Solara

Jet Performance Throttle Body Spacer for Camry/Solara

Postby twinjetguy » Tue Nov 24, 2009 1:24 pm

Hey Guys,

Just got back from driving to Jet Performance. I bought myself a throttle body spacer from them that works on the 3.0 1MZ Camry motor. It is originally for the Tacoma 3.4 5VZ motor. If you are going to order it, make sure that you order part# 62133! DO NOT order part# 62136 because it costs more. It's the exact same part, it just comes with different hardware and that is what makes it cost more.

Keep in mind you will have to provide your own bolts, you can't use the ones from the kit. I picked up the bolts I needed at True Value for a whopping $5. The kit even comes with the gaskets that you need. I will have pics of it up soon, letting the motor cool down before I install.

Remember, order part number 62133. If you order it through Summit Racing, they only charge $71.95. Here is the link to Summit if you want it. Ignore the pic of the throttle body they have on there, they will send you the right one as long as you use the correct part #

I think the whole part number/compatibility thing is old news, but good info none the less. :)

Quote from the aftermarket items sticky in this section of the forum.

But thanks added extra part number.

Does anybody ever read the stickies?

Throttle Body Spacer (www.hubcapsplus.com)
Helix Power made for Tacoma 3.4L V-6 fits 3.0 V6 (SPE-34055)
Use coupon code HELIX

Requires 2 new bolts from home depot. You need 2 M8 X 1.25 70mm and 2 M8 Washers for top. For the bottom use the 90 mm screws that came with the kit and 2 washers under each.

You know, as a matter of fact I did read the sticky, saw that in there as well. That is for a Helix brand spacer, I am telling people about the Jet Performance spacer. Different brand altogehter. Figured people might want a choice. There is all the Airraid brand as well, but I won't post any info about that, would hate to make people think I didn't read the stickies

Sure they all do the same thing, just letting people know, sorry.

I dont know about everyone else but I'm appreciative of that info. Options are always good and you provided that. I'd even suggest they add it to the list. Dont take it to heart though, everyone here is a team player and i'm sure they didnt mean to knock on you by saying its already on the sticky.

Hey thanks Speedy!

I never really take anything to heart on forums. Actually I was being a bit sarcastic in that reply. I always get a laugh from people on forums that type in "you really should use the search feature" or "does anyone ever read the stickies?". Kind of a pet-peeve of mine.

Glad that I could share the info with everyone. Like I said, I wanted the Jet Performance one only because it was blue, yep, I am lame like that and I openly admit it.

Gabe (trd4life),

I heard that blue throttle body spacers make WAY more power than red ones. Can't believe you actually ran an airraid! Don't even get me started about spacers that aren't anodized, ugh! I figured you would have known that

Yea it would suck if people actually learned to use the vast archives of the board.

Its funny the vast archives don't say anything about the JET spacer.

My 2 cents.... if you dont have something "nice" to say then dont say anything at all. people should try to not be smartasses, causes drama and no one needs it. im wondering about these spacers too though... do they do anything? or do they add as much power as a trd decal?

Alright kiddos, no need to beef over a piece of metal with 5 holes in it. Let's all stay focused on what we do best, modifying Solaras/Camrys.
