gged my ebrakes

So i was driving home from the bay the other day. and i was sleepy so i stopped at the gas station. i believe this is wen it started, im not exactly sure. so i was pulling out to the freeway and was wondering why my car was soo slow. so i just kept pushing it a lil and i was probably going 70 on the freeway more or less. i had my sunglasses on so i dindt realize my ebrake was on. after realizing this, i took the ebrakes off and now. when i brake. my car shakes and makes a weird sound. mostly in the right side of my rear brakes. my uncle said i need new drums. do i need everything else? what do i need?

yup, you'll need new drums and shoes in the back, likely on both sides. if it's a v6, you will need the rotors (since the parking brake is a small drum inside the center of the rotor) and shoes, but you won't need disk pads.

but since you say it makes noise and shakes while braking, i'm gonna guess you have a 4cyl which doesn't have drum-in-disk.

I've never had an issue with that in my solara, but it sounds warped. I find the solara's to be very generous with the e-brake though as I have used it on numerous occasions to slide the car around in the snow.

If you are drums on the back get shoes, drums and a full HW kit. For disks get rotors inner shoes and a full hardware kit. Personally I had a damn hard time finding the Hardware kit for my V6 only pepboys carried it.
