Trust me, I'm a technician.

+30 offset

1" 5x120 to 5x114.3 adapters

Looks OK from the side view but reduce that 1" adapter and you'll rub less. Figure with that adapter its like you're rockin 8.5" rims. If you increase the offset will it rub the strut?

Nope. its 7.5 at 30. so there is hella space between wheel and strut.

Milt this setup is for a circle track i could care less how it looks.

1" is the minimum my machinist would make for safety reasons

If you are pushing the wheels so far out, wouldn't you want wider wheels and tires to get the most you can out of it? I think it is just a little weird right now to push it out so far and only run a 7.5" wide wheel. I'd run a 9.5 or something...

And circle track racing with spacers = REALLY scary. Especially 1" thick spacers... that is a snapped wheel stud in the middle of turn 3 waiting to happen IMO. Not trying to bash, but this sounds pretty sketchy overall.

^ He's runninf the GOOD style wheel spacers, not the cheap ones/ These are the ones that have a 2nd set of studs ON the spacer itself.

Still sketchy though. :/ One of my good friends manages a Discount Tire- you would not believe the things he tells me about spacers and what they can do to a track car.

I agree with you on the wider wheel, why would you use a 7.5?

The spacer part, as long as you have some baller studs like ARP it will be all good...

^Haha. Good point. 265/35/18's are going to be bulging like a mofo on 7.5s! I'm putting that series tire on my Work Equips that are 9.5 inches wide.

Discount tire is not any more lol than the pic of the back of your car. No need to be offensive when someone is trying to help you out. If it makes you feel any better, he has a slammed Forrester that put down 250 whp and 300 wtq on a mustang dyno a week ago... he isn't some average joe hillbilly.

I can agree with Milt, spacers CAN be okay if they are high quality. Hell, I had H&R spacers on the rear of my solara- but if I was building a track car, I would go with wheels that fit right from the start.
