it looks to be in great condition....the few i've seen recently (last 5 years) aren't in nearly as good a condition.

and i was gonna make a flux-capacitor joke...but i'm pulling a blank.

ya the car is in PERFECT condition. we took it into the DMC dealership to get it serviced once (anyone with a DeLorean NEVER take it there, they actually destroyed some parts of our car hoping we would pay them to fix it, they also unhooked all the speakers for some unknown reason), and they thought we had restored it, and when i take it to car shows everyone thinks that i have restored it, and it is babied to the max, and ALWAYS garaged.

Ill upload pics of the car in a few to show its condition :)

That delorean is one of the coolest things I've seen on this site yet. I've been a BTTF junkie since the first movie release. I've always dreamed of owning one, despite their lack of inherant performance and notorious mechanical gremlins. If you ever want to sell that thing, hit me up. Nice ride!

its actually not been that bad, and you can get turbos for it. its a very easy engine to work on, and there is actually people out there willing to work on it for FREE just to be able to work on it.

last summer the fuel pump needed to be replaced and a guy i met at a local car show (there was about 30 DeLoreans there) came out to my house, fixed the car, and refused payment; but my dad was able to convince him to accept a restaurant gift card since he was over for about 4 hours working on the car (he ended up doing more than just the fuel pump).

parts are also very easy to find as you can order brand new parts from the factory that made the deloreans in the first place (when it went out of buisness some guy bought the whole factory and everything inside).

and its been on and off for sale, my dad wants to sell it, but i dont want him to. He is now saving it for me :)

The guy that bought all the Delorean stuff is in Houston, TX. You can still buy a BRAND NEW Delorean today! They will assemble it there in Houston with original parts. 8) 8)

From what I remember, they're reasonably priced. Like 40k or something. Of course, that was a few years ago. Not sure what they will cost you now.
