loll @ james.

Keep in mind Randy, TRD may sound cool and make quality products, but there's very limited products, especially for our solaras. there's no TRD version of the cp-e neither. your alternative is to get other SRI (short-ram intakes) brands like Injen or Weapon R. Just for reference, they also don't make CAI (cold-air intakes) for the Solara, you need to custom make one.

Anyways, my first intake was the cp-e so I wouldn't be able to tell you how they compare (even though allegedly cp-e is the best, and for such a hefty price tag it'd better be!). The reason why cp-e differs from the rest is because of the augmented intake pipe, as well as a MAF customizer. When shopping for intakes, ask Midias, he's tried em all!
l CP-e Intake l TRD Lowered/Exhaust/RSB l 20/5 Tints l Custom Grille l Alpine HU l Rocksford Amp l 2 10" JBL Subs l 6000k HID l Smoked 2.5 Tails l Satisfied Driver l

1 - i'd call them and ask, rather than rely on the website....there are over a dozen gen 1 members that have bought the cp-e intake, so it has definitely been released
2- TRD is great, but, (a) they don't make intakes, (b) their exhaust is discontinued and pretty hard to find, (c) their supercharger (the cream of the crop) is even harder to find, as it has also been discontinued.
3 - cp-e has dyno figures to back up their claim, plus it's the pretty much agreed upon by all the members here (who have done multiple diff setups) that cp-e is the best (outside of custom tuning and forced induction).

There is no TRD air intake only a filter. I bought from CPE just call them they should have a few around and they are worth the cash. The gold badges were a dealer option the previous owner purchased.
