It's been discussed. Doesn't do anything.

^ Never had a problem with it?

Yea the TB bypass is about as good as those IAC chips. In other words there is no hp gain to get from it. It may help a little when it is very hot outside but the best you could hope for is to not have as much of a HP drain as the car warms up. But it can be don for about 3 dollars in parts so give it a try.

that, and it becomes a lot less work to remove the TB for the ones of us who constantly take our cars apart! lol

it's good to prevent heatwash of your aftermarket intake for about 10 minutes.

but once your engine block heats up, it's pretty much gonna absorb that heat into the TB through the intake piping and your intake plenum.

but in texas, where frozen TB's aren't EVER a concern, there's no reason to have coolant going through there (esp in >100*F weather), just be sure to let your car idle for about 5 minutes if it's near freezing temperatures.

but overall, no real noticable consistant gains. just makes it easier to mess around with the TB if you're installing something like a spacer. there's a slight inconsistent gain, when the temp gauge shows 1/4 hot (i guess the block is warm on the inside from the coolant, but the exterior of the block and all the extra parts havent heated up yet). nothing measurable, just something that can be felt occassionally (like a little hp easter egg). but this gain goes away after the temp gauge is at half mast
