i got a 1999 toyota solara 2.2l i4. i want to put a better engine in it....

But seriously, search around a little... the 1mz will fit (v6).

Weren't some 1mz engines OBD1? I believe the gen 3.5 ones may have been, but I am not positive.

IMO dont waste your time. The solara was sold with a 1mz, just buy one that has it stock and sell your solara if you really want it.

No, the 3.5 were OBDII. If you do get one of these, the ECU should be from the same year as the pinouts are different.

hmm i have heard a 2jz single turbo or twin could fit in a solara, i also asked how much it would cost to put it in and it cost roughly 20k to 40k..
