i remember the greddy being one of the most quiet exhausts ever...

but would it still be quiet with the new y pipe...

I was wondering the same thing. I'll be getting a custom y pipe made in the next couple weeks. I'll post some vids after.

I know for the fact that the OBX headers and y-pipe setup will make the Greddy Evo really quite.

depending on the design of the y-pipe, it can differ

if the y-pipe is designed with equal length runners, then it will sound basically the same

but if it's designed with a dump pipe, it will most likely be louder

There's an exhaust shop near me that does custom fabrication. I'm taking my car there either Thursday or Friday to get my Greddy tightened up and see what he can do about the y-pipe.

I am running the evo 2 with dats y pipe and no cat...it has a nice subtle tone at idle, but gets pretty loud at WOT. Overall, a very nice change from the oem exhaust.

Did the custom pipe give you any performance gain?

I think between a new tune Y pipe fedral headers and a high flow cat he picked up about 20 whp.

EDIT
Found it
http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php? ... o&start=30

Looks like a max of 55 whp gain.
