Offset, Spacers, What kind? (avalon)

I just went from 25 to 15 because on big bumps or with 3 people in the car I was getting a little rubbing with the 25's

Spacers are cool. I hate when people act all scared to rock them.... I only use hub centric ones though... H&R, Ichiba, or Kics are cool.

Ok, so the rims I'm getting on the Avalon most likely won't need spacers. The sienna however, may be getting a new set of rims with +50 offset with tires of 215/55R17 (thankyou for info akora) These are still just a possibility, but what spacers would i need? I believe the stock tires on the Sienna now are 205/70R15 (its either 70R or 65R 5 more then my 97 Avalon)

Can someone please "guide" me which spacers I would need? I still have no clue. This is like a foreign language to me. :cry:

I hate wheels.

I ordered 40mm but the stupid shop sent 50mm instead so now I am looking for spacers to gain some space and be able to run 225/40/18 tires instead of 215/45/18. 5mm spacers would provide the bare minimum clearance I'll need without rolling my fenders.

If you are running 215 tires then you might not even need spacers, especially if you are still using stock struts. I have +50mm wheels with 215 tires and they did not rub at all with OEM struts. Only after I installed Tokico struts that they started coming really close to my tires because the Tokicos were thicker than OEM. It's actually so close that there's only enough room to slide a credit card in between. Main point: I think you will be fine without spacers (assuming you still have OEM struts).

im testing out some 19 x 9.5 +38 offset with a 15mm spacer, im hoping it will work! i try'd a 12mm and the stretchiness of the rear wheels rubs on the strut

^ Wow, your wheels are wide and the offset is still quite high. Hopefully you can clear the struts with 15mm spacers. If not, I have an almost brand new pair of Ichiba 20mm for sale.

yea very wide but im not sure how much clearance should i exactly have from the wheel to the strut? inches, mm...
