My old (likely stock) struts have worn out and its time to get them replaced. Which do you guys like better, Monroe Sensatrac or KYB GR-2? Tokicos are out of my price range, so I'd like the better of the two mentioned.

Also, would either be too soft to handle lowering springs as well? Thanks!

I have a gen 2 with the trd springs and kyb-gr2 shocks.

they are a big difference over my stock ones. alot smoother
and car is more stable over every surface!

i say roll wit the gr-2s!

+3 for GR-2s. I'm on Tokico HPs now since I've lowered the car, but the KYBs I had previous to this were excellent. Also, the KYBs should also pair well with lowering springs, I just sprung for Tokicos because I only had KYBs for the rear.

For a completely stock setup I love the Monroe pre-assembled struts. I got them for my wife's camry and they are great and have a lifetime warranty from advance auto parts.

This is why I like this forum :D

The only thing swaying me towards the Monroe Struts is the Lifetime Warranty offered, I don't believe the KYB GR-2s have that although they seem like the superior strut...

What to do...
