Installed Weapon R in my V6....

Installed Weapon R in my V6....

According to my research in here, it seems that no one else has tried this set up with the V6... if I am wrong please correct me. Anyway, I installed this and it needed a few extra pieces that ran me a total of 6.00. The one piece I needed was a longer tube that ran from the engine (under the cover) to the intake tube. Then I needed a three way universal t -valve that connected three hoses. The problem with the one that was supplied was that it was meant for the same size hoses and with our set-up we have two small diameter hoses and one larger one. Then I bought some clamps to secure the hoses and was set. This was the easiest intake to hook up in my expiences. The sound is great and has a throaty sound at high rpms. I have gained a few more mpg. and am satisified. Anyone who wants pics please let me know and I will send them to your email since I don't have a website to host.

Did you purchase the funnel extender (semi-CAI) attachment? Does that intake have the two tube setup (one smaller diameter inside the main tube)?

The kit comes with a flex-tube for a cold air set-up and another tiny mushroom-like filter that I wasn't sure what that was for. I read that it was an option you can try out, but wasn't interested in looking into further. The intake has what you described with a smaller diameter tube inside which is supposed to produce more air velocity. The welds are perfect looking like nickels laying on top of one another. The filter is a foam and not the paper/cotton like material we are used to with K&N. The instructions state to clean this filter every 3K. That sounds like much, so I may go and buy a new cone for the intermittant cleanings.

"Any cels"

No cels. I installed it with the battery terminal off and the car quickly learned the new intake and within a minute of the car learning the new amount of air coming in and feeling sluggish and feeling like it was going to stall, the car was running like new. Love the intake. The instructions sucked since they were universal, but was still a simple install for me and my brother. Sorry about the pics, but the weather here in the NE region has ben bad. I will post up as soon as I get the opportunity!

In regards to installation, I used the tutorial for a K&N installation. They are all pretty much the same.

I think you have the 5sfe right the 2.2L I4 if so then you have no MAF and I would just get a generic intake.
