I researched this on here and never found an explaination despite these intakes still being advertised on websites for the V6 models. Is it clearance issues in the engine bay, error codes, fitament? Thanks for the input.

I have never heard of it not working I think most people are just saying that the cpe works much better and most regular SRI intakes don't give much power.

That's cool! As long as it works. Honestly, I am not looking for performance as much as I am looking for alittle extra grunt to go along with my exhaust. So for me, perfect! I have read alot about the Cp-e and it looks like the real deal. Thanks for the input.

People like CPE for the gains.

But if u dont have money to fork over for the CPE, go with either injen or weapon r.

Majority of peopel on the board uses injen. Some people dislike weapon-R but they arent that bad. The manufacture is here in South San Francisco and they have good quality stuff.

This is not true by any means. For a gen2 v6 the lara receives minimal gains from injen. The CP-e definately gives more power. The black box supplied with the CP-e adjusts the fuel for the larger intake diameter.

Without tune any mod is worthless. CP-e supplies a cost effective solution to tune whereas injen supplies none. Having just removed my injen and replaced it with the CP-e I can say without a doubt that there is a vast difference in power.

*edit*
I'll put up my injen for sale in a few days

I'll let you know if it fits as soon as I install it. If not this weekend 2/14, then definitely next.

I can let you know early next week. I'm heading back to the dyno. Numbers prob. won't help because of the exhaust but it may give an idea as to the difference between the two with my set up.

I've been asking for a back-to-back test of intake vs. stock on a low mileage car in good condition with no other changes.

Haven't found one yet.

yeah somebody's gotta do that test.

the site that sells CPE's says 9 HP, with peaks of about 11 HP.

that's not bad.
