Gen 3 Steering Wheel

Hey guys, I'm lookin to put a gen 3 black steering wheel into my car. I photochopped it in and it looks pretty good with my other black accents and my tan interior. First and foremost, I want to make sure it will fit, with little or no modification. (I compared a tan one I found, and I'm pretty sure it will fit, but just to clarify) Just wondering if anyone has one laying around that they'll sell to me?

yup, it'll fit just fine...not too sure about cruise control wiring though, but the physical fitment and srs should be fine

probably. but it's not guaranteed. kinda like how the celica wheel fits our cars, but nobody's figured out how to wire up the cruise control yet since there is a different number of wires.

the camry and the solara are close enough cars though, so there's a much bigger chance of the wires matching up easily and even likely that you can just plug it right in too!

but again...I've never compared the cruise control on my camry and my solara, so I can't say for sure. just wanted to mention the possible problems that may arise so that you can take it into account was all.

Jakecallun20: PM Arief, he had a celica wheel on his 'lara. IMO, that three point steeting wheel looked great, kinda like the GS wheel IMO.

Speaking of the gen 1 wheel, I found one. On ebay for 22 bucks. But no airbag. Does anyone know where I could get a black airbag? Would using the duplicolor interior/vinyl paint work well on an application like this? I'd also like a black steering column cover.

...So that I don't have a black wheel with a tan airbag. I don't know. Just a thought I came up with. I may have found what I'm looking for from a cam parts car.

He means the middle part, where the airbag comes out of.
