haha ok ok man don't get your panties in a knot. :-) ive been modding for a while but i dont want to kill my car. i was reading previous threads and it sounded like it would be a bit more complicated than that with getting the belt on and off, etc.

I did this and, like everyone has said, it's as easy as unbolting three (I think) bolts and loosening the belt.

here's a legit question. once i get it installed, is there any way i can test it to make sure it's putting out the proper amperage, etc? i guess i can keep checking my battery voltage to make sure its remaining charged right? should hover around high 12s at least after shutting the car off and 14v when on.

You should be able to take it to autozone or advance auto and have it tested.
