Questions about mods I wanna Do

Alright, my baby 'Lara is still a virgin and I am lookin to change all that.

She's cosmic blue, 2004 V6 SLE, and basically loaded. (no nav)

Here's What I have in my mind(definite):

Sprint Springs
Injen Intake
Wize N1 3.5" muffler (maybe TRD, if i make more money)
10,000k High/Low Beams
6,500k fogs
Precision Grill (upper)
Honda Start Engine Button (honda is evil, but that button is sick)
TRG Strut bar

Here's What I am not so sure of:

Smoked taillights (dont know how to make them removable to pass inspection)

Enkei RS7 or DRAG DR-9 (or any other 7+ spoke 17x7 rim)

Shaved door handles, 40lbs (dont know how much labor will be)

Remove spoiler, debadge, remove large rear toyota emblem bump (again, paint, labor, filling holes)

If I knew how to smoke tailights and make them removable, which rims i wanted, and all that body work pricing then i'd be set.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? COMMENTS? TIPS? WANRINGS? ETC?
[/list]

Buy an extra set of taillights to tint and switch it back to stock for inspection.

I guess i could do that, but is it really worth the price?

isnt there some way of wrapping them so that its removable?

I saw it somewhere else, on this site.

I just looked into the start button idea.

I may have to steal that idea from you...

yea, its a really smooth looking mod.

and for 50$ its well worth it.

two downsides though:

working in the dash is a pain
if you cut to much out, your f'ed

I would put the button to the left of the steerin column and the right that little security thingy.

10k hids will probably get you in trouble since its a very blue color
and might as well as change the shocks if you do spriings. esp since
you have the sle shocks which are a bit softer than the se sport ones

but thats what i think...
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.

i had no idea that 10k HID's werent legal. ill have to check jersey laws...

but, i agree with you totally on the shocks, its jsut i m a poor teen, who can barely afford the car and muffler, lights, springs, and intake.

arent the shocks like 1000$? plus i dont even no where to buy 'em

Welcome.

Smoked taillights (dont know how to make them removable to pass inspection)- Smoke with black transparent paint. or get another set and do them. they also have the tint film, but when you remove it, i doubt you can put it back on.

Enkei RS7 or DRAG DR-9 (or any other 7+ spoke 17x7 rim)- not sure if 17" would float your boat. Those would look pretty small on the 2nd gen solara. I would suggest to get 18x7.5 or 18x8 or whateva.

Shaved door handles, 40lbs (dont know how much labor will be)- dont know about this

Remove spoiler, debadge, remove large rear toyota emblem bump (again, paint, labor, filling holes)- I have seen guys remove all the emblems and it looks dam clean. I think they just heat it up with heat gun or hair dryer. Then they use floss or fishing line and floss the emblems off. Use goo gone or whateva to remove the old residue. If there are dirt marks, use rubing compound to remove them and wax to polish up the area. Spoiler... no clue. u on ur own

Injen Intake

Wize N1 3.5" muffler (maybe TRD, if i make more money) spend the extra money and go TRD
10,000k High/Low Beams
6,500k fogs

Precision Grill (upper)
S2k start button and may I add HONDA is not evil I used to drive one (99 Honda Prelude 5-speed)
TRD front&rear Strut bar

Smoked taillights (dont know how to make them removable to pass inspection)

Remove spoiler, debadge, remove large rear toyota emblem bump (again, paint, labor, filling holes)

All the ones that are BOLD Are all good ideas and good clean mods. And don't forget the stereo system if your into that and your going to need some tint to match your smoked tails. Happy modding!

From the subject, I though he was going to say:

Brian, Damon, and Jeff.
