would be cool if you have a URD O2 sensor simulator.... eh, I'd rather get Dat's Y pipe, it has a direct flow design, and I can add a highflow race cat, allowing me to have low back pressure, while staying eco-friendly.

my 2 pennies

The y pipe design looks good with a nice collector merge. If I were to get one I would just get a 3 inch high flow cat and weld it in as such. it actually would not be too difficult.

On the other hand the Dat pipe is very nice and flanged and in the end the relative cost for either one of them is about the same.

^Dawgz, a quote from the JPP site

Our headers use the highest quality T-304 stainless steel, CNC flanges, mandrel bent tubing and two stage ceramic coating. Also included is a ceramic coated mild steel Y-Pipe with a high-flow catalytic converter, mandrel bent tubing and stainless steel flex pipe.

So yes and no, their headers are stainless, as are their flex pipes, but not the Y.

not quite, though I agree with the car part

an equal-length runner design is always better than an unequal length design. the dat's y-pipe gets the job done, but not as well as it could.

and man...if I had the money, I'd be all over this....we'll see....somebody with some spare cash try this out first :D

Go get it dawgs common I took the hit trying out the exhaust take the hit and try the headers 3 inch down pipe just like you wanted.

nice you may even be able to do just a resonator delete and use the flange and pipe that is pre attached.

Hack, hack, hack ....

Why cut out the resonator? Just leave it in there.

O2 sims = profit. For any setup that the vehicle has 4 O2 sensors (2 before the precat and 2 after; it is an OBDII system. The purpose of the rear O2s are to confirm that the cat is functional. (Not the adjust the A/F). Use the old trick of buying a packet of HELP! part number 42009 or 42002 spark plug nonfoulers and drill out one nonfouler inside with a 1/2 bit. Thread the non-drilled into the pipe and the drilled one into the the other non-fouler. Then the O2 into the drilled nonfouler. Disconnect the battery to reset the ECU and the reconnect after a few minutes. The CEL should be gone.

I did this on my 350Z. Cost = about $4.00 for a two pack of non-foulers. I needed two sets.

because, id rather run a highflow cat there instead of a resonator.

I dont know about the laws in ur state but in my state (NJ) if ur caught with out a catallitic converter, its a 5G fine and impoundment of ur vehical...there are no warnings or fix it tickets for no cat...its strict.

Yea, and the solara has 3 sensors. One after the cat which is an o2 sensor and one on each header....and those can be A/F sensors or o2 sensors depending on if ur car is a cali spec or federal spec.
