i noticed your topic says that you were getting 16mpg but have since had some improvement? i would say the fuel change would be an obvious thing depending on which octane level you have been using and if you have since switched to a lower one.
If you haven't already, cleaning the TB helps a little, but as someone else said , i dont think mixed driving isn't gonna give accurate readouts as to the optimum mileage you would expect.
Also is your car cal spec?

:evilbat:

I found a hose that was supposed to be plugged into the intake but wasn't. I think it had something to do with the EVAP system.

I still want to clean out the EGR but I need to get the gaskets first.

My last tank was 22.4 mpg w/93oct.

I only do city driving, and I get about 16.22MPG. I changed my spark plugs, air filter. I use little roads not flat to go at work. It's at 3.5 miles from home, so my car doesn't make good MPG. hehe.

I think I'm kind of in the same boat, work is 10miles away.

I cleaned out my EGR today, not fun! The gaskets are much sharper than they appear. Found some carbon build up, but was able to get most of it out with TB cleaner and a brush. It didn't look restricted, but who knows. Hopefully this will get me a little boost in gas millage. It took about an hour and cost was $4. $2 for gaskets $2 for TB cleaner.

I guess compared to you guys my mileage isn’t that bad but I think it could be better. I'm thinking if nothing improves after all that. My next logical step is to see if the exhaust system is being too restrictive. It's stock with 120k on it, and I would love to replace it with a Evo2 cat back and high flow cat.

Please let me know if anyone has any Ideas.
