a new Injen filter is about 40-50 bucks.

For that, I should of just bought a brand new intake w/ filter instead of wasting money on used parts.

Not so fast.

V6 or I4? they are different diameter. If I remember right, V6 is 2.75" and I4 is 2.5:

Also, if 2.75" is right, then:
http://www.ajusa.com/details/index/506/ ... %20RU-4450
Same price, free shipping, no auction

Or you can get the better K&N cone filter, which is what I have on my Cold air intake,
http://www.ajusa.com/details/index/506/ ... /0/0/0/0/1

This ones $63, but is 1.5" longer, 1" wider, and has open air top for sucking in air from the top. Does it make a difference? I have no idea since thats the only filter I ever used, but that's what I got on mine for the last 4 years or so.

If its I4, then you need to look for one with a 2.5" opening. And just in case anyone asks, yes I have an I4, but I have a V6's CAI on mine, so I need to buy a cone made for a V6 intake.

I am fairly sure he has a V6 so I went 2.75 and the one I linked I think is the K&N direct replacement for the V6 intake.

Do what I did, and slap an AEM dry flow, it seems to let the engine liven up more than a K&N, but that's my opinion.

I can vouch for K&N, I have used them in both of my rides so far, but the AEM cost $10 more, and seems to work better.

and yeah, Im in NYC.... a meet should definitely take place

It's a V6, not CAI, just short RAM, I was doing some searching on the board, I'm confused between 2.75' and 3'. And which one does a better job Injen, AEM, or K&N, I even saw someone used "Fujita" filter. Thanks dawgz, gnegroni, sydemoid and midias for all the good info! From what you guys wrote, I think 2.75 is the right size? And K&N looks like the better deal.

I wanna be fair as much as you want to be fair. I say since it was a used filter anyhow, refund half ($35-40?) of a new filter. No need to refund the entire amount. Let me know if that's cool with you, send me a PM.
