Well I sent them an email as before maybe I can get them to stop selling intakes for solaras also check out the other thread for a good laugh.

From Me
After reading this quote " We will not sell an air intake that does not provide a measured increase in horsepower and torque (acceleration). Our air intakes are proven to increase horsepower and torque on a rear-wheel dynamometer (think treadmill for cars). "

I would like to know the exact dyno numbers and see a graph for the V6 or I4 solara also how you plan to adapt the maf sensor and if the piping is 2.75 inch otherwise the MAF will not read correctly. And NO autozone/ pepboys or another place doe not make a solara maf sensor adapter only HKS does and they are discontinued.

Are they serious with that tubing?! Since it's not a straight through design(corrugating flex tubing if I remember correctly), the air flow wouldn't flow as well as a straight pipe.

Also like you said about the MAF and the size...

What would you do to get them to stop selling a false product? Contact Ebay?

You guys really should read the other thread about the short ram intake with gems like the one below it is totally worth it

So I e-mailed bling lights and got this sweet response. Just cut a hole and attach ha ha ha.

Dear blinglightshid,

I was wondering if you had a picture of the actual intake for the solara because the one pictured in the auction has no MAF sensor fitting and will not work.

Hi

The photo in the listing is the actual intake system for sale. There are 2 ways you can install the Mass Air Flow Sensor. The first way is by purchasing an MAF sensor adapter (not included as stated in auction). This can be purchased at any local autozone or pep boys and is usually inexpensive. The second method which some of our customers have used is the following...

You can connect your MAF sensor or any other air tubes to our intake. Our intake includes a rubber collar that connects our intake pipe to what is left of the stock intake pipe along with 2 adjustable O-rings. Just cut an "x" into the middle of this rubber collar and push your MAF airsensor into that slit. Just make the "x" cut large enough to feed the sensor in but not any larger. Once the sensor is in place use a piece of electrical tape to hold it down so it does not come loose. The MAF sensor must be facing the same direction it was facing when hooked up to your stock intake and you are all set. Hope this helps, please email me with any other questions. thx

 yeah ok, while im at it im going to use duct tape instead of metal collars to hold it to the throttle body and i might as well use a sponge superglued to the end as a filter...

HAH - from their FAQ section

How Does It Work? When you bolt-on a BlingLights intake, you will notice the difference the next time you drive your vehicle. Our BlingLights Intake Kits are a great way and in many cases the only way to maximize airflow and engine performance.

my favorite part is "youll notice a difference the next time you drive your vehicle" yeah no crap itll sound and feel like ass...
