Stock JBL deck died

Stock JBL deck died

Postby Mr. Slippery » Wed May 14, 2008 2:29 pm

So add this to the list of things that have either broken or rattle worse every day on this car.

My JBL radio stopped playing CD's last night. When I hit disc, it comes up saying error or it skips through tracks jumping every 10 seconds or so, even saying there's 20 plus minutes on tracks that are 4 minutes long. This just happened out of nowhere.

Anybody else have this problem?

try holding the eject button for 10sec...its common on all radios to have a
" gimme that f-n disk now " feature.
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.

It's just something that happens. Mistlikely the servo is dying. If you can get the discs out, i would do it now so you don't loose them. You can find Used JBL units on ebay for a good price.

Almost the same exact thing happened to my 99' JBL deck. Great time to upgrade to an Alpine.
