TRD Thermostat

Hello guys were can I find the TRD thermostat for our cars ...are the ones they make for the Tacomas and supras fit our cars ? I need these Asap ...and the only one I found online was carsons toyota but they take to long to deliver ..6 to 8 weeks I need this by next week the latest can someone help.....

I found a post here on the forum that a celica thermostat can fit has anyone gone that route, and then there is stant as well but they are 170 ' Trd is 160 '

they state thermostat Part number is PTR04-00009 wich is the same as the celica 00-03 versions I wonder if the gaskets are different ...they should be the same as oem right guys ???

I got mine from a website in New Zealand. They no longer sell parts to the US.

I checked every other toyota site I know of. No luck. Sorry.

why do you need one in such a rush? it takes about 5 min to change it?

also, the 170 will generally be more than enough, so that shouldn't be too big of a worry

as for the celica ones, one way to find out is to go to napa and take a look at the camry one and the celica one and then compare them to see if they are the same size- the gasket is usually purchased separately anyway

well I have all my parts ready gaskets I needed Im starting to worked on the solara next week . just got a new tranny put in the cabrio so it delay me a bit ...My engine tempeture guage is a little over the middle wich most cars are usually at ....its halfway between the middle and getting to the hotzone ...something I want to take care of before adding the SC ...I have a new water pump , timing belt in there so that leaves me with replacing the thermostat....hopefully that would bring it back to the middle ...

I think one of them will work here is a list I made for shocar when I cross referenced the part number for the 170 degree stant stat.

I was looking into those can I get them from Napa or an autozone ?do you know or I have to go thru their website ?

Advance auto parts carries the stant 170 thermostat. But I would be willing to bet if you gave the part number to nappa or autozone they could cross reference it with one of there own.

check ur coolant system out first (pressure test) to make sure it is just the thermostate causing u to overheat and nothing something else

well guys I order my Thermostat today from this site greg had on his page I order the Camry one because it was a lil cheaper than the solara comes with 3 gaskets and all If they come in by thursday I guess i could wait ..
