Only the DYNO can can prove that. And remember JP's claims are on a s/c setup....they do not reccommend 3' piping for a n/a car.

Thanks for the positive response guys.

Yes I think 3 inch is a bit too big for NA unless all you care about is much better top end.

I will probably be making some 2.5 inch resonated mid pipes to fit a TRD exhaust this spring out of stainless steel. I guess I go through exhausts like some people go through water.

Sounds pretty damn good. Can't really go wrong with the V6, they almost always sound great no matter what you do to the exhaust. I have heard one V6 on youtube though that sounded awful and raspy.

Update

After selling the OBX to a person with a stock Y pipe it appears to bolt up no problem to the stock Y pipe. But I would still go with the megan exhaust 2.5 inch pipe and probably better fitment.

3 inch piping with a 4 cly would probably be a bad combo.
