I got samething (a 2" by 1" paint chip gone) but not at the same spot...mine is almost right in the middle of the bumper in front. The little rocks lessen the bumper's paint....so when I used a pressure hose (not a strong one and I was at minimum 18" from the car when using it) then the water under the pressure was able to go under the paint and it peels off. I was like in a nightmare ! I will have to re-do a paint job on it....but don't want a crappy job with unmatched colors ! So for now, I'm lucky in a way because the first layer is still black but a flat black way less visible then you with your white lara. I think the paint quality, at least applied on the bumper, isn't high !

^^^^The quality isn't high?! That's an understatement. Whoever did the first repaint should just close up shop, nuff said. I have a pet peeve with people who decide to finance a business and take no pride in their product nor take effort in their service. The only saving grace is that I got an extra grand taken off the sale price when I noticed it and I make it a religion to not piss off my body shop-owning friend Vinnie. Friends like that are hard to come by!

I told ya PXL, the linking is goofy with MyPhotoAlbum.com. If the pix stay linked by tonight I'll do you one better, I'll restrict all my postings to one sentence to save bandwidth and I won't bother other posters for donations about "slave reparations". :D

Edit: Aww, bless your heart!! I see what you did, you linked it off your website! Dude (sniff) if you ever need any (sob) cheap alcohol or brake lines cut, holla at me dog!

To the OP: Try using PlastX from Meguiar's with either a foam applicator or a clean terry cloth and rub with LOTS OF PASSION!

Yep! I was fortunate to attend a couple of their detailing classes at their HQ in Irvine, CA. Learned how to properly use high-powered machines like a Dual-Action Polisher along with Meguiar's 83 and 80 which polish your paint and removes scratches and swirls. I also use their new NXT 2.0 wax. Amazing stuff.

I might have been one of those Westlake solara guys giving you the evil eye, I hate to see damaged laras. lol! Just kidding. Its cool though, its good you have a buddy that owns a body shop, maybe he could give me an estimate on some scratches i have on my drivers door?? As for the tail scratches, i would say try the rubbing compound, very lightly though. If that doesnt work and the scratches bother you that much, find a replacement one on ebay, they are usually fairly inexpensive. Oh, and as for the snow in the driveway, I would highly recommend investing in a good snow blower. Especially if it will allow you to put your lara in the garage regularly versus parking in the street. My lara is always in the garage when im home, whether its for twenty minutes or the whole day. Good luck man! Get that ride ready for spring..

The same day my Lara bought me I called a friend of mine and he came out the next and installed a new garage door & opener for me. My dad & I built the garage 12 years ago and I never parked in it until the Lara. (True Love at it's finest).
