what do you guys think of Amsoil?

I am changing my gear oil right now and i dont know which one i should go with.

either the regular gear oil or amsoil (synthetic) i believe.

my friend has a civic si and he put amsoil in his car and he tells me that the shifts are much smoother and the it lasts longer.

Well for any Honda manual trans I would only use Honda MTF for our cars I would go Redline or Mobil One gear oil.

You should be fine with either choice. I'd go Amsoil. They are a very reputable company.

I have a friend who uses Amsoil in his 2006 Chevy Diesel 3/4 ton, he started using it last year and does not need to change his oil but once a year. They give you a testing kit that you mail in every 3 months and they will give you a report back to let you know how it is doing and if you need to change it or not. He just ordered some transmission fluid, and some other products from them, and he swears by them. I am almost tempted to go and buy some.
