Disrespecting Other Solara Owners
This winter has been pretty rough on the 'Lara and on my back (from shoveling). In fact, it's been so rough on my car I feel like I'm disrespecting you all when I drive out in public. My paint and the bumper are slowly getting a divorce:
One morning I came out to find my car frosted over (windows, body and lights) and my dumbazz scraped the frost from my tail lights. So you can guess what the end result of that is:
Most of this month I've been parking on the street because of this:
...broke my shovel trying to tackle this, went to the big box stores to buy a new one and was told they shipped them back to make room for BBQ grills and lawnmowers. I gave up finding a new shovel, went to the bar and killed a bottle of Tullamore Dew for my aching back.
Spring is around the corner and I have to make a promise to you guys to get my pimp ride back in pimping form. I'm going to try to use a rubbing compound to get the scratches out of the tail lights, they're not that deep. [Anyone do this before, feel free to weigh in.] As for the bumper, I'm going to strip it and have my body shop owner buddy sand it and repaint it. That will be the third time it's painted--the previous owner scraped it and got it repaired rather cheaply (her body shop never heard of the words "adhesion promoter" and I knew this day would come when I bought the car.) But, currently, all this fixing has to wait a bit until it stops snowing in this God-forsaken town (plus I gotta sober up). So all you Solara drivers in Westlake, OH giving me the evil eye everytime I drive through, I beg you to have patience and I mean no disrespect! Suckas!
