im having the same problems right now after installing the supercharger.

take it to a mechanic as a last resort. cuz im sure theyd end up bsing you and make you replace all kinds of crap tryin to figure out whats wrong with it.

It shoudlnt be too hard to locate and remove. like i said, if you still cant figure it out after cleaning it and messing with it a little then i suppose you can take it to a mechanic.

so does anyone have any links or detailed photos of EGR cleaning/replacement? Damnit, I dont know why the hell I would touch the EGR when I only took out my intake, and if its that little thing under my intake I think I'm going to have to take my intake out and then bust my ass taking that crap out and I'm a big dude so its really hard to get in there, ahhh I'm anxious :(

yo thx midias, i dont know what the hell could be wrong with it, I checked it today and nothing looks loose, you can see a some metal on a few hoses but their stuck on there pretty good. Damn this is bugging me, do you know what tools I would need to fully take that little crap off? would I need to take my intake off to reach the hoses etc under it?

Hey guy, The problem is most likely caused by your car leaning out

What CPE & injen does to fix this is they have some form of chip with a new Fuel map to compensate for the boost in air flow as the stock ecu wont compensate for this much additional flow

Leaning out simply means your o2 Sensor is sensing more oxygen coming from the exhaust than is within acceptable levels, Basically you added too much air for the amount of fuel being given within those RPM ranges.

Running Rich means your o2 sensor senses NO oxygen which in turn means your car either is not getting enough flow through the intake or your injectors are pumping too much fuel into the mixture. (The more fuel you pump in, the less oxygen will be left over)

Now although what others may have said could be true, if this is not an Injen or CPE intake setup with the MAFC-I chip then your system verywell likely is leaning out... I know because i am experiencing the same issue however i'm slightly somewhat more pre-pared

My solution is going to be using a Piggyback Fuel control system IE: Apexi SAFC / SAFC II To compensate for the additional air, which is why i ALSO did not buy the CPE or INJEN setups because i have future plans with bigger mods & my Apexi unit will definately help tunning for those items (notice my threads posting for buying SAFC lol :)

Now if this is NOT the case with your car (the symptoms are identical to what i experienced) Please make sure your injectors are clean, your Throttle Body is not all tarred up & you have a clean fuel line & fuel filter

Let us know!!!

Also, for anyone that feels i miss-informed him PLEASE correct me

BTW, running lean CAN be very bad for the motor

Another case of not reading. He has an injen intake. Also Injen does NOTHING for the ECU it has no piggyback at all only CPE does in either regular or tunable.

Midias sorry, but i could've sworn i saw an mafc-i setup on the injen site. i guess i was wrong... But don't discredit the rest of the information i provided as it is all very factual.

Perhaps this is where i read it:
http://www.cp-e.com/2006.html

The MAF customizer through injen technologies on the CPE site

Apparently the two are somehow linked...

Again, please correct me if i'm wrong
