It will probably be at least 1.5K but for an extra 30hp to the ground and at least a second off the 1/4 I say go for it.

^^$1.5k for parts...add on the labor and you're probably looking at $2.5k.

For 2,5K? ishh if your car is "stock", then sell it and get a another Solara manual, it will be less then 2,5K more expensive and it will be more reliable I guess.

But if your car is already tune, it's different.
I guess that for 2,5K of tuning/mods, an automatic V6 could be faster then a 5 speed for the same extra cash price spend on the car.

Buy/trade-in on a manual.

I might be interested in selling mine soon....My knee is starting hurt due to the cartilage wearing out and it's getting more and more uncomfortable to clutch as of late(being 6'2" tall and 270 lbs. surely doesnt help).....time for an automatic :honda: :honda: :honda: ! Plus my girlfriend refuses to learn how to drive a 5 speed.

Im thinkin' my next car is gonna be another Grand Marquis or Crown Vic.....those are the automatics I usually like(wish gas wasnt so ffuckin' expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

and then depending on what you go with for your flywheel and clutch...

and I have to say that the 5-speed swap was the best thing that I ever did to my car.....and I'm boosted too

X2. I'd love to swap a 5 speed into my car, but the labor I would put into it would be a ton, not that that is a problem but IMO it would be cheaper to just get another 5 speed Solara/Camry or w/e you please.
