I totally agree wit you.

Knock off of JP exhaust. :-?

The welds may look really nice, but how long will it last??

Exhaust welds don't break often but header welds do. Hell the first exhaust I ever built out of ceramic mild steel piping is still holding strong after 4 years of rust and NY salt and the welds were my first and done with a flux welder (Although the pipe its self has had to be repaired). As for strength if the penatrate the pipe at 14 gauge they should be plenty strong.

Well I bought one I will let you guys know in a week or so. I will take pics and try it out. I will also get you a video so you can compare TRD with 2.5 and resonator, TRD 2.5 and no resonator and OBX.

I can tell you right now my Mild steel ceramic painted exhaust lasted 6 months before rusting badly and about 2 years before cracking in half in 3 places. JPP may be better than my ceramic paint job but I did prep correctly and follow all the directions and seeing all that rust half way through one winter was sad.

I found this vid of an OBX exhaust on a forester looks about the same hopefully the sound will be similar
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/obx-c ... /997591723

This is just an experiment, if the exhaust sucks I will post back it sucks but for 300 if it is decent then I am sure many more people will want one.

I will also get you a video so you can compare TRD with 2.5 pipe and resonator, TRD 2.5 pipe and no resonator and OBX.

i had a friend that put an obx intake and exhaust on his integra. for the money its ok stuff, but the exhaust was loud as hell, borderline annoying. as for this one i'm not a fan of the tip or lack thereof and i agree 3" does seem excessive.
