Greetings,

I went to Ebay to find a nicer air filter/intake setup and found one that looked nice so I ordered it.

Now that it is here, there are no instructions and nothing appears to fit anything on the car....

I sent an email to the seller asking if they have some instructions/picture of it installed on a Solara and no response so far.

Will keep posted.

Not everyone knows what options are available for the solara, especially if they are just starting out. I dont know if you are for sure, but we can at least try to help...

If you can, post some pictures of the intake and we can try to give you some direction to get it on there.

I cannot fault the guy I had an ebay intake waiting for the car before I even had it home :). I lost power and I had to drill an extra hole and add a grommet for the small vacuum hose.

I am sorry to say I bet you were scammed but post a pic we may be wrong.

^^^^ above is all for V6 if you have a 4cyl you should be fine as long as it does not have a MAF sensor. The 3 inch piping diameter on the ebay intake screws up the MAF for the V6

Yep, I agree 100%. From researching the "Gains" and what not from cheap mods, it just isn't worth it. The eBay intake will actually make your car lose power. The MAF is designed for a 2.75" pipe, not a 3" (I'm assuming your eBay intake is 3" as most of them are.)

Ive looked and I cant find one person who sells a 2.75" kit w/ filter for any car, or for the solara.

Closest I found was this and no MAF or hose holes, just looks pathetic!

would there be any money in the market if i made a straight 2.75" pipe with the maf adaptor and holes, lol?

guess i got lucky with mine the acceleration is much better and all i got is a sport muffler, ngk wires and ngk plugs. so most of new found power is from the intake. maybe others would be faster but i dont have the money to buy an injen intake and find out its the same or an extra 3 hp. no way but if could do it all over again i would have got cp-e from the get go.
its almost done, cant wait til spring.

Sadly, I had already ordered the piece before I found the thread saying not to. I will probably return this or if the fellow won' ttake it back, I will complain to Ebay and Paypal about them.
