I'm sure that people would be more than willing to buy a trd one..

Cut it . all of my friends did it on their maxima's. just make sure you cover the shifter and other comp's to avoid any damage from the blade . and mask of how much you want to cut

I did my accords while in the car because you had to remove the exhaust heat shield to get it out. But I was very careful about welding and sparks I cut a small hole in a welding apron and slid the shifter through it then welded it strong.

honestly, dont do a hack job. Cutting the shifter is not the most efficient way to shorten throws- all it is going to do is give you less leverage.

Sell the TRD shifter for a good price (they are hard to find now) and buy a TWM, I love mine. I personally wouldnt go with a hack job on something as important as this...

the throw i am fine with! i just hate the height and i really don't think that cutting an inch or two out and welding it back would be considered a hack job unless you are really bad at welding...luckly i am not! i just wanted to see if anyone else has attempted it! i will pioneer the way!haha

I wouldn't cut it if I were you, but thats me. The shifter is way to important to risk messing it up. Sell the TRD and pick up a TWM.

well i got it all cut and welded and i will have to say that i love it!!! it took me about two hours from start to finish, but it was well worth it! i cut just under 2 inches out actually more like 1.75 to be exact!!! not too bad of a job if i do say so myself ....the weld looked great and i smoothed it all down with a grinder!!!!
