Custom Stainless Mid-Pipe for TRD Exhaust.

Custom Stainless Mid-Pipe for TRD Exhaust.

Postby Midias » Fri Jan 04, 2008 12:20 pm

I am going to make a full stainless mid pipe for my TRD muffler this spring 2.5 inch with a high flow resonator as shown below. It would bolt on to the TRD muffler and the stock exhaust. It will be tig welded and have an O2 sensor port stainless hangers and the works. Although it may have mild steel flanges but that is very common. So my question would be who would be interested in one if I decide to create extra. The cost would be about 200-250 and I am not sure about shipping prob about 30 dollars with tracking. Of course I would include gaskets and bolt with each pipe. It would sound similar to this.

Remember this will be a spring project for me.

I'd be in if it wouldn't be out of the way to fab it for cars with the pre-cat :P

I don't think the dimensions of the pre cat system are any different from the 49 state systems. Maybe I am wrong but I thought all gen 1-1.5, 4 and 6 cyls used the same cat back dimensions but not pipe diameter. Example would be I think a greddy cat back fits all gen 1-1.5 solaras.

If the Jpp pipe connects to the factory exhaust then YES.

Think of the section that goes from the flange after the cat all the way to the flange on the TRD muffler that is what I will be making.

I am defiantly making one for my self but if others are interested and want one I will make extra while I am at it.

if u have pre-cats, theres no use of modifying ur exhaust after the pre-cat, ur better off converting it to federal specs (getting the federal headers and ypipe(or dat's ypipe))

Hopefully camry on bronze won't mind me borrowing his pic but basically I am making this (circled in green) But it will only have one resonator and not be ceramic finish just stainless steel. I have already made one for my car out of allumnized piping but with 4 years of winters it is starting to rust pretty bad. So I am going stainless this time.

He was hiding under that tiny bed of yours. We're taking up a collection to install a queen sized Murphy bed into your room. We're up to a nickel. (That's 5 cents more than the averaged monthly donations SolaraGuy gets!)
