i have been reading some different post on here about custom y-pipes and high flow cats and the power that is unharnessed~ what can i expect performance and noise wise, if i get a custom y-pipe made (from my muffler man) and no cat (of course i will have to run an o2 simulator) or a magnaflow cat like dawgs has......right now i am running 4psi with a sri and the trd exhaust! jim's fuel upgrade is on the way! yeahh!!

i believe it's been discussed before in terms of power gains with a high flow cat v. no cat. the benefits of running no cat was like a 1hp difference between the two. altough, running no cat will make the exhaust somewhat louder too, wasn't really worth it to me so i threw on a high flow cat.

You can get a universal cat off ebay fairly inexpensively. If you are looking for a good highflow cat and the stuff to make a custom system I can help you out. Just post back with specific questions and I will answer them. BTW I am the one who made up Akfahads and Dawgs cat. I got lucky with dawgs tho trying to angle the flange to match a picture he sent was a bitch.

^ yep!

If you can talk Midias into making another one, he makes great cats. He'll even work with you to get the correct angle...he's a master at his craftsmanship!

Thanks agian Midias.

to jump in on this, i believe dawgz was using the datsypipe if i'm not mistaken. if you are really interested in this setup, let me know because i have one for sale. Its brand new wit the test pipe, so midas can make you a high flow :).

good luck,
Michael

noise will be louder... bigger pipe/better flow = louder noise.

be prepared to gain a good 20-30 whp. but don't follow the stock design.
