Congratulations.

I installed mine about a year ago. I love it. Its a great modification. It seems to make driving a little more fun. If I ever get some money burning a hole in my pocket, I want to get the gold shift knob too.

I think the solara should have come stock with a shifter 2" shorter like the TWM one. I know the longer stock one provides more leverage, but it looks ugly IMO.

Must be really short because the trd is already very short

this is slightly OT but not too bad, did anyone have trouble with the "speed clip" that comes with the TWM shifter? It looks almost like a washer that slides over the rod that runs through the shift assembly to hold the rod in place. I broke the stock one and the TWM supplied ones were too big- I think they sent me the one for the corolla. So all summer I ran without the washer and the pin would slide out once every few days- its very annoying. If anyone has an extra (mine came with 3 but they were all too big) shoot me a PM, Id gladly pay you for it.

That was my only gripe about the short shifter, otherwise I love it.

wasn't to bad to put in. i think it would have gone faster without the supplied instructions. the top of my shifter hold down was different then pictured. i thinks the pics are of a camry or newer then 99 solara. love the new height and shorter throw. i think cost was 170ish shipped from twm.

I picked mine up used for 100 and I wish I got it sooner...it's so much better than the stock one

but I also have to say that it makes shifting a lot harder when combined with all the ss bushings since you have to be really precise when shifting- took a bit of getting used to for sure

and damon- you should be able to get the clip from toyota, I was really careful when taking my old one out since my shifter didn't come with out since it was used, so I was able to reuse my stock clip
