I just cleaned my throttle body yesterday. It worked like a charm...but today my CE light came on. Car is still running fine for the time being. Anybody know what's up? Any help?

codes appear agian after 50 to 100 miles of driving.

if it was just a "fart" it wont come back, if its really a problem, itll come back in a few miles of driving.

I guess it wasn't just a "fart." The CE light came back on. I took it to AutoZone and it was code p135. The guy told me to take the O2 sensor out and clean it. Hopefully it will stay off. If not I guess I will have to buy the sensor. Guy told me it will cost anywhere from 60-120. Anybody know where I can get a good deal on O2 sensors if that be the case?

The dealer. or online parts store or your local auto parts. Cleaning the sensor usually doesnt fix the problem

the dreaded P0135 code....yeah, i have that same one and haven't really fixed it yet. the car will run fine, the A/F will be a little richer than usual (the car is stuck in a 'warm-up loop', or safe-mode), but there shouldn't be any noticable effects other than a decrease in gas milage. don't push your car too hard when you have this (or any) code lit up.

you should get it checked out and fixed as soon as you can still, i'm just letting you know it's been a while w/ me having that code w/ no noticeable negative effects (there still may be some long term effects though)

have fun 'taking it out and cleaning it'....p0135 is bank1 sensor1, which is located between the engine and the firewall, towards the bottom of the car, before the cat. it's not the easily accessable one that's near the radiator.

also, if you end up buying a new sensor, make sure you have the right one. it makes a difference if your lara is cali-spec or not (if it has pre-cats). also, i'd stay away from generic brand parts (i.e. bosch), as i've HEARD that our cars are pretty particular about the brand of O2 sensor used. note that i said i heard, since i mentioned above that i havent fixed this code on my ride yet.

good luck
