CPE, extension & battery relocation?

TMMK Toy wrote:500 for an optima, box, and wires. wtf. Optima should be the most expensive part and they can be had for 100 at pep boys easily

plus the piece of metal used as the extension, which was probably custom to fit the piping of the CP-E., so it had to be expensive too.

Think about it this way. the battery is 100$, the box is what 100-200$ , 0 gauge wire ( on ebay is 3$ per foot) i don't know how much wire sebas used, i would guess over 40 ft so thats 120$ , then the terminals 50$ and this misc parts.. This is what Im guess the cost comes out to be .. Sebas might have spent more or less on parts i don't know

Id buy a catback exhaust before I would mess around with all of this, but if a CAI is something youre really looking for then i guess it could be worth it.

obviously i am gonna make a bracket for the fuse box and cruise contol box. the turbo will be where the battery was
this is my setup so far.
i cut a whole in the side for the intake to go through. its 3" in by the way. thats why i had to do some cutting. i relocated the battery for my upcoming turbo project. got 2 gauge wire. 15 ft for 40 $ . went to the ricer shop down the street where he gave me some scrap intake tubing for 20$. the hardest part was cutting it to make it fit. got a marine battery box from napa for 20$.
costed about 100$ and an hour of time. if you guys are to lazy to do it i would be happy to make some extensions and sell the for a descent price for my labor. lol. i can make any size extension you need

You do not need to relocate the battery to do the CAE. I did relocate my battery but for other reasons. See my sight for pics of both setups.

I still wonder how you could pass the 3" or 3.5" (CP-e) pipe to do your CAI with the battery in place !!! :o
