sounds like someone struck a nerve.......hrmmmmm?
to answer the question, you need to ask yourself if you're going for performance or style... then you need to ask yourself if you're going to spend real money on it, or fake money on it. because all quality mods on the lara cost real money (like for real for real).
if you want style (which is probably a better priority since you're an auto) then go w/ lowering, tint, and wheels, and a TRD kit, if you can find one. excluding the price of the wheels, you will probably end up spending $1200-1500.
if you really want performance, you will probably have to start from square 1: ebay intakes are notoriously poor quality, and fart cans on lara's are just blasphemous. start with the CPE intake, then get a JPP full exhaust system, then get the trd s/c. along the way you will probably want to upgrade your sway and strut bars.
so after all the performance mods i listed, you probably would spend about $8000
or you could always put a 150 shot of naws in your car, and blow up your engine. but it'd be HELLA-TYTE!
if you plan on spending fake money (read: not real money), then i'd follow midias plan of action. get a civic like everyone else, and buy the commonplace cheaper mods. modding a lara is not cheap because there's very little aftermarket support...so what is available is goign to be much more expensive (not every highschool kid can buy a lara for modding purposes...while most can afford a $3-5k civic to fxck around with).
