i was thinking of reboaring my 3.0 engine to a 3.5 any seggestions/advice? trying to see how fast i can make my car within 5 years and without blowing the engine.

so far all ive got is ingen short ram and some random aftermarket exhaust. next investment is coilovers

thats possible?? lol i had no clue you were allowed to do that..how is this done and how much will it cost? also whats the estimated hp you would get out of doing that??

well my friend told me he did it to his 93 camry. he said all he did was reboar intake exhaust headers, and he stripped the trunk, he was beating stock eve's (not MR) and what not. now i dont know how true that is, but he said it was 1500 to rebore and il see what goes on from there.

boring the 3.0 to a 3.5?


ive heard of getting to 3.1, but 3.5 may be a bit extreme....dont u think?

Not much man, ur best bet is to go get a Supercharger or get a custom turbo setup.


although, if u do want extra horsepower, it can be done with out boring ur engine....


u could imrove ur ypipe for ur car, if u look under and check out its design, it sucks! Get a custom one, or a Dat's ypipe.

another thing is the intake....and some have gottn TB spacers...

Wow, an extra 83cc's (5 cubic inches) per cylinder with an overbore? I don't know how much extra meat the Toyota engine has but with many engines you'd be boring out the water jackets going that large.

You'd want to check with a qualified engine builder but I'd suspect for another 500cc's (30 ci) it'd be safer to make up a stroker kit and even easier to grab at later model Solara/Camry engine and do a transplant.

And your friend is lying, an Evolution has 300hp stock, no way by just engine boring can a Camry beat one.
