G35 vs me

Postby CASTRO » Sun Sep 23, 2007 9:28 pm

to shed some light on the subject, I actually raced a g35. It was a 6speed bone stock and ive got a s/c v6 auto.

I raced on off the line and was ahead till about 80 then he just flew past me. If it was a roll from 70, i dont think an N/A solara would even stand a chance.

OH I know how this story could be true!
You have a racing sticker that adds 150+ HP automatically!

that explains it.
oh wait never mind.

Why do some sites say 260hp and others say 280? I know the coupe had 280, but I thought the sedan had less (and hence I believe the 260hp statement to be correct on the 2003s), but that's just weird that these sites contradict each other...

I'm referring to 2003 model (the first year of release). That was the lowest power model available.

He probably saw you trying to race an didn't bother to down shift. He wanted to see if he could smoke you in overdrive.

Story is hard to believe... I was hanging side by side with a 05/06 G35 coupe doing 140mph+ and you say you guys are evenly matched at 130mph?

I thought the autos had 280hp and the 6MT had 298hp. I'm too tired to search, can someone clarify this.

You are referring to the coupes, in which case that is 100% accurate.

wait didn't you say your car ran 14.8 in quarter mile?
I read the 2003 G35 6MT runs
"14.2-second, 100.5-mph quarter mile. "

plain and simple, end of discussion, a STOCK solara can not take a g35, even if the solara was manual or auto.
