We all do respect I think the only one knocking on any doors here is you. Your talking to veteran SolaraGuys who've been there done that type deal for years.
I seriously think the driver of the G35 was cutting you some slack.
im not knockin on anything
actually i repsect this forum and the people on it. I have just become a Solara owner and have no clue as to what my car is capable of yet. So, i am out there doing whatever to see and that race was one thing i thot was great. im not sure about anyone elses cars nor am i disrespecting anyone on here, but i was in the driver seat and saw what my car did the other night. Now please just let me happy about it.
This is my first Toyota. I have been a Nissan guy for years owning nothing but Nissans because of their great power and torque. I have had several Nissans and am fully aware what they can and cant do. Almost all Nissans drop off at higher speeds. There power is geared more to lower and midrange speeds. They are designed that way and have been for years.
So from a take off, Nissans will pull anything, but from a roll, they are just ok. My 94 Sentra Se-R is the only Nissan i have ever owned that has great top end. All the rest fall short of the competition. I have been a Nissan guy for almost 20 years.. I will say one thing, This Solara has really suprised me in its power. I didnt not expect what it has.
