if that doesn't work, then there are other possiblities as well...

first...vacuum leaks will make you throw the same code, as the ecu then can't adjust for the extra air being sucked into the engine. check for leaks using throttle-body/carb cleaner.

the other option is the most possible one though...

you had your car tuned for 2.5psi of boost along with clogged/restrictive cats

you are now running 6.5 psi on a properly running setup...your fuel needs have increased ALOT since your last tune.

normally, the ecu can adjust for the difference itself...but since you have a piggyback restricting the ability of the ecu itself....I'm not surprised that the front bank (the most vulnerable bank on the 1mz) is running lean.

your best bet right now (and from the very beginning- I should have mentioned this to you before) would actually be to bypass the safc/disconnect it from the ecu until you have a chance to retune properly for your setup

Thanx for the response!

But, i had the car tuned at 2.5psi, then when i slapped on the other pulley, i went within that week and got it tuned for that pulley as well, which gives me 4.5 to 5psi. not 6.5psi....

and yes, i got the MAF cleaner, cleaned it at work. When i looked into the MAF, the two rods were a bit brown or black, after the clean, they area very shiny, a shiny silver. I put it back on when i got home from work, and started the car, started right up.

Im going to go tune tomorrow, i will drive the car granny style till the shop tuners can do their work.

Ill post up the results from tomorrow when i come back home from the Dyno shop...wish me luck!

and thanx to all who responded!

CamryOnBronze wrote:^ a cold air intake was responsible for blowing your engine because you didnt add more ful, but the ECU can compensate for a supercharger without tuning and wont run too lean? Or are you saying there were other factors...

Dawgz- Congrats on the headers bro. I would clean the throttle body and the MAF like everyone is suggesting... dont rely on the dyno to clean things that need to be cleaned. If it is a cheap task that should be done as maintenance anyway, dont skimp on it or it wont even matter if you tune the car.

Good luck with everything man.

I think when he said his Engine is Blown, he ment its Supercharged....lol

and thanx!

No CEL while driving to the shop, or durring the runs or on the way back home...i think it was just the MAF being dirty..i cleaned it last nite, as well as my friend's Nissan Maxima's MAF. He also noticed better idle and engine RPM.

After all the crap you went through and the money you spent it must feel good to get 55 hp in the top end :).

So did the cat stink like crazy during the dyno run?

55whp feels real nice man, the car just keeps pulling till I want it to, and doesnt tire out like a fat kid in a race! lol.

Thanks Dat for the Y pipe project

Your welcome. Now have fun with 2 mpg less hehe.

My guess 2-3 more psi yield 20-30whp at least. giving the Y pipe and stocker header a 20-30whp increase with tuning. Pleasing pipe

lol, ur pipe, logically was good, but, i had to have the flange for the rear header's pipe cut and rewelded... so the pipe cost me 240, and to cut and weld to fix the flex pipe cost me 100, and then to cut and fix the rear pipe's flange cost me another 100, so in total the ypipe is really a 440$ project.

U had a nice idea, but the company you went with, kinda fckt up.

But non-theless, i thank you for putting these out, i dono what my other options would have been...Definitly worth the cost, even at 440$ total.
