hey. great looking job, save for the little,, err, shortcoming.
was thinking, there might be a possibility that there is some interference with the current/ cable to the ecu. don't know how this is possible but thought it might be an option, since you are getting voltage readings that are close. also, so I'd say try put some of that stock' shielding around the cable section that's close to the firewall ???

Even if I have a great IQ....I can be dumb sometime !!! HAHAHA

Remember point 14 in my tutorial...long story short...I took off stock ground that goes to the frame and tranny. What a dumb idea...it was the root of all my problem !! Everything going fine now !!! :D

For the extension I used 3.5" 45 degrees bend aluminum pipe + a 3.5" coupler from TreadStone Performance. Bought it thru their ebay store.

I will use my G-Tech unit to mesure the gain but my butt dyno...and my "eye-on-speedometer-dyno" tells me it is an improvement like I calculated.

Thanks for the hints !

What are the avantage of a oversized TB ?
Just more air flow so more power ??

They make it for the 1MZ...3MZ is the same block...wonder if the TB is different..dont think it is and what about you ?

Yea I think Paladin was the first.

One of the big things I noticed was the engine response was more linear with CPE. Before the TB I would get a big surge at 4k is is much better at low RPMs now.
Check out my post above

Suggestion

Postby JMSinMaryland » Thu Aug 09, 2007 7:06 pm

Build a box around the intake to block warm air from the engine bay from entering and only channel cold air from outside the engine bay in.
