Its already being ship. Im having some issues right with my car with the stock Y pipe. I broke two studs, one in the front and one in the rear. I have exhaust leak. I guess its one of those things where rust always win.

Anyone know how to fix this? We drilled one out and ran a whole new removal bolt. but the other two are very hard to get to. He was suprise himself that the work was harder then his supra

all I can offer is cut off the old studs and drill a hole and use a nut and bolt with lock washer where the studs useto be.

Ok... I am NOT meaning to be negative, or in any way an ass. So PLEASE don't take what I'm going to say personally, or in that form. I'm saying it having build a dozen or so y-pipes for lex/toy v6's in the past... So please respect that unlike anyone else here that may have an opinion on the matter. I am saying this from first hand experiance in making the things.

That merge looks like total crap. You "friend" needs to stop using the $40 chop saw & learn how to build a damned descent merge on a bandsaw.
It takes $250 to get a GOOD water lubricated 4*6 bandsaw setup. Why he's not using one when he's got acess to a TIG is completely beyond me. I'm baffled.

Don't worry about ditching the cat convertor & the post-cat o2 sensor freaking out. You CAN do it successfully by shimming the filiment completely out of the exhaust stream & leaving aruond 1-2mm of clearance around the filiment. I, like about everyone else, simply run a tap through a spark plug heli-coil & weld that on the pipe to fit.
The o2 sensor will still read about .45-.55v. The ECU will be happy & you can go cat-less for anyone that wants too.

Again. I'm not downing you in any way so please don't take it that way. I know what it's like to front your own money to help the v6 community. I fronted that & front alot of my time doing so.
I'm begging... Please... Fix the merge.

That being said if you don't. It's not going to kill you. Even with an ugly mistake like that you've already taken care of so many problems that the stock pipe has you'll still get good gains. Good luck with it.

I understand your take but you havnt read all the way through. This pipe that you see isnt the exact one. The finish product is with an another company who will make it in better quatlity. Obviously this is my prototype and its been through a few works. The shop that made my pipe didnt do a so good job so Im no longer with them.

Yeah I saw the link of their work reading the thread. Good to hear about the shipping pipes being different.

It's not about what a weld looks like, or how shiney the pipe is. Aslong as a weld doesn't fail, or have pinhole exhaust leaks.
AFA the pipe & welds itself look like... I don't care about that stuff. From the pictures (It's hard to see) they looked fine. I've seen people with descent reputations build manifolds that look like that & sell for hundreds above better looking custom manifolds.

Seirously. You could teach a 10 year old to weld mild steel & stainless passably, then how to clean stainless up to shine. ;) All of that is secondary to the design. Which I just didn't like. I mean... Ya take 2 feet of straight 2 1/2" pipe, cut that in half. Then cut off-axis so they weld together.
I just threw a 1' collector out there for funzies... But the perfect collector would be around a foot to afew inches over that. It's hard to get people to do that tho. They either need a large expencive bandsaw, or they have to cut pipe in sections! Most people don't like going to that kinda trouble when 2 quick cuts & one weld will do for the masses. ;)

Ill definitely be in on this, depending on the articulation of the welds, meaning that I dont wanna get this, and have to rip it off later on, due to bad welds... kinda like some headers that were out there before.... no comment.

Now, I will assume that a Catalytic converter can be added to the exhaust after the flex coupler... same with the O2 sensor (just to keep the car smog legal).

Put me on the Maybe list... since you are only making a certain number, I may not be able to be on the list... lol

But I am interested though, now lets talk headers.... lol

I doubt your being rip off. If you are then them supras and MR2 pipes that he made for them who are running over 400whp+ for the past few years would have been Kaaboom by now . Your on the maybe list.
