Ok, so I've officially scrapped the wheels idea. I was looking at 18" 5Zigen Hyper 5zr's. But all together the package is a prety penny.

Instead I've decided to just get new tire son my stock wheels and go with what was my next planned mod which is... dun dun dun, Nitrous!

But I have a few questions. BAsicly what's the safety level of 50 shot vs. 75 shot vs 100 shot? I'm thinkin 75 is the way to go, but I dunno. Am I going to run into any severe problems? How easy is a self install? Will I need to get anything like a new fuel pump or any other upgrades to compliment the NOS? Should I get a type of kit with a dual stage deal or just a single shot? I'm doing wet shot, is this the right choice? Any good places ya'll know of to buy a god kit like Zex or something from? Any recommendations on the best brand kit to get?

I pretty much need any info I can get on this as this will be happening in the next few weeks. I've decided since I have a relatively stock look to my car from the outside, why not spray it and make it a sleeper instead of making it look fast, then spraying it to make it as fast as it looks.

I have the money ready to go for this, I just need to get it all figured out.

50 shot you'll feel more bump from a pebble hitting your back. . . 75 shot is cool. . . 100 shot is crazy and I smoked a E36 M3 with it. . . I wouldn't recommend running 100 shot all the time. . . If you're more on just having the power and don't want to damage the engine that much than I guess you can go with 75 shot. . . I was using NX Wet Kit. . . Since nitrous would lean the hell out of it and you won't have upgrade fuel injectors to compliment it. . . I suggest going with a wet kit to get the proper mixture. . . The difference between single and two stage is that single is when you squeeze is going to hit all at once and dual stage is more for like drag cars like they do a 75 shot to spool up the turbo but not so dramatic that it will spin the tires like crazy and that they hit a second button and it will activate like the 150 shot to make fly down the track. . . Zex, Venom, NX, and NOS are all good brands. . . Install is very easy for a single stage shot. . . All you have to do is tap a hole into you intake to install the nozzle. . . Than run the main line from the bottle to the solenoid and into the nozzle. . . For the fuel you will have to cut the fuel line and use there T-connector for the fuel. . . The wiring is fairly easy if you know what your doing. . . I installed a kit in less than 30 mins but if you want to hide everything very well than it will take you longer

good idea but those rims are hella nice. so nice that i have them on my solara lolz. but a 75 shot is good as long as its a wet kit. dont go over board or you'll regret it.

Do you usually tap before or after the MAF sensor or does it matter?

I was pretty mcuh expecting you to come through with some info. Thanks a lot man. So I won't have to upgrade the fuel pump? And the single stage from what you've told me is the way to go, and wet shot for sure to get the mixture right. I was praying it wouldn't require some goofy crap like changing injectors because you're only spraying so often and when you aren't you're running so much fuel into your engine it would run rich... or at least I think.

I'm gonna shop around, and I'll let you all know how this goes as soon as it's done. Thanks again for the info samson.

P.S. how do I know what kit from which company is right for my car? I've seen kits that just say something like "ZEX V6 nitrous kit" will those work?

And for the sake of not sounding like a ricer in the future please call nitrous, nitrous. Not NOS. NOS is just a brand. Ever since the Fast and the Furious people call nitrous NOS and it drives nuts. Sorry for the little rant.

lol... gotta love all the similes. How long do bottles last? Say like a 10lb, how many squeezes would you get out of it on avg? Say in seconds-wise, is probably the easiest way to quantitate it.
